Boarder help please- Design Wall Monday

This needs a nice border and I just cannot decide what to do with it. It is currently 44x62 and I need it to be a Twin size so I thought between 8-10 inches of border on each side.
Any ideas???

  1. I could see it with a narrow border of the pink, and a checkerboard border of the green and one print, followed by another of the pink, then the other print. That might be alot of work though!

  2. OH! The fabric is darling Deb! My mother would adore it!

I would suggest a double-border. The inner border, smaller, matching the width of the block "frames" in the dark green fabric. The outer border---not so certain there. I would need to try out both fabrics, but I'm thinking the "bluer" of the two might bring it all together better???

  3. I agree with Amy about a narrow inner border of the dark green and a wider outer border of the flower print. If needed you could do a final border of the pink.

  4. I'm thinking inner border of 2 to 3 inches in pink. Outer border in the green and then the binding in pink.

  5. I, too, think a small "stop" border to frame the blocks and then a larger print border to finish and I might bind with either the larger border print or the smaller border fabric. What you have so far is beautiful.

  6. I like the idea of the border in the pink and green. The prints would compete with the center.
