Design Wall Monday and Weekly Stash Report

Well this week was crazy, Went to the OKC, OK Winter Quilt Show Saturday then the Home and Garden Show on Sunday. LOVED IT!!!
And for the most art I was good, I did not buy any fabric at the quilt show. I did buy a tool and some batting but for the most part I was good. Then after dropping off Mom at the house Connie and I went to our favorite fabric discounter. Just to look of course. LOL! Needless to say I did not get out of 59th Street Fabric without buying anything. Bit how could I resist 108 inch blenders for $4.95 a yard? or his $1.50 per yard leftovers table?
Well without further to do my stash report is:
In this week 12 yds
In YTD 12 Yards
Out this week 0
Out YTD 13.5
Total YTD 1.5 YEH!! its still in the black
Now on to my design wall Monday, Gosh I wish I could afford EQ6. I love these black, red and white blocks but cannot decide what to do with them. I think I like this layout maybe with Red Star points? I just cannot decide but while I am deciding , I am also working on a split 9 patch for Megan a foster child in the local system.

Week 2 Stash Report

Well this week I did good. but I am not sure how many yards I busted, so I will guesstimate. I had to decide on a couple of issues this week,

1) When can I count the project yardage as busted? I finely decided I would count it, only when I could measure the top to cut the backing. I know if I get the flimsy done and am measuring for the backing it WILL get finished and will not become another UFO.

2) Donated squares or tops donated for donation quilts? Are they part of my stash or not? I decided not. If I have to add striping, a boarder or backing that counts but not the squares themselves.

Added this week: 0
Added YTD: 0
Used this week: 13.5 yards
Used YTD: 13.5 yards

Not a bad week but it may all change this week. I am going to a quilt show in Oklahoma City. I am leaving the credit card at home and only taking a little money. Hopefully that works this year. Last year it did not work, I took $50.oo and spent $800.00. I put a new 98Q Juki on layaway, I have had it out now for 3 months and LOVE it. It is so much faster and easier to work with than my old Kenmore.

2010 First Design Wall Monday

Well just leftovers on my design wall. I started the twin top yesterday, today I hope to quilt it. I cannot do feathers, but Hopefully it will look OK with just Straight line quilting. I thought I might turn the leftover strips into baby quilts? either that or save them for boarders on a future kids quilt. Most of my quilts go to local foster children. Have a super New Year!

1st Stash Report of this year

Nothing in
Nothing Out

I did finish a baby quilt this week but the main part of it was compete last year. So cannot count it.

Wow it sound like I have been lazy doesn't it? But I have spent the last couple of days cutting scraps. I still have a LOT of scraps to go (4 large trash bags worth) but wanted at the very least to get enough scraps cut to do Judy's Coin Quilt on patchwork times.
